No Swatches
I’m always working on some project or another, and most weeks I talk about what I’m working on Wednesdays as part of Tami’s WIP Wednesday project. You can see past WIP Wednesdays … right this way.
There are no swatches in this post! Whooo! I finished those over the weekend.
So I cast on a new shawl without feeling any sort of guilt.
It’s a rectangular stole with various sized diamond motifs, knit out of 1 skein of The Verdant Gryphon’s Mithril, colorway “Interior.”
Love the yarn. Love the color. Love the pattern. LOVE!
But I’ve also been working on my shawl out of The Plucky Knitter.
It’s been growing. A couple stitches here, a couple rows there. I’m doing a very subtle garter st/ stockinette st pattern, so it’s great tv knitting for shows and movies that I actually want to pay attention to.
The patterning will be more obvious once it’s a pattern, and not just a couple stockinette rows.

Even More Swatches
I’m always working on some project or another, which means I often have FOs and new designs to share. I usually share these on Fridays as part of FO:Friday, but sometimes I need the weekend to catch up. When that happens I share my FO the following Monday, because who doesn’t like a little bit of Friday with their Monday? You can see all my FOs … here … and all my designs … here.
The second and final (fingers crossed) round of green swatches are blocking as we speak.

oodles of green

I’m not normally a huge fan of green, maybe I just want spring to get here, but on my desk alone I can see, the inside of my favorite mug is green, lots of green paper for note taking. I have pens and rulers that are both green, and a huge stack of green swatches staring me in the face.
I’ve been knitting full steam ahead on this pile of swatches, but at least the end is in sight. You can see the blocked ones on the left and the unblocked pile on the right.
And my new shawl (with it’s super bright green stripes) is at the point where I’m going to start adding patterning. Yippie!
